Robert Half Director of Finance in Sacramento, California

Description

Lisa Cole with Robert Half is currently partnering with a fintech company that is looking to hire a Director of Finance. This role is critical in steering the financial direction of the company through strategic financial modeling, P& L management, and ROI analysis. The Director of Finance will be responsible for maintaining an accounting system that accurately reflects the company's financial position and for directing the company's financial operations. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall vision and objectives

• Forecast and strategize for the company's future while promoting growth and advising stakeholders

• Identify financial risks and develop plans to mitigate them

• Oversee the company's financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and P& L management

• Lead the accounting, finance, and human resources teams, ensuring effective performance and development

• Implement robust financial modeling to support decision-making and business growth

• Ensure compliance with all statutory laws and financial regulations

• Collaborate with executive team members to create and implement strategic business plans

• Oversee the preparation of daily, monthly, annual, and other periodic financial statements and reports

• Develop cost and ROI analyses on various product lines

• Evaluate and provide insight on M& A opportunities

• Implement technology solutions for accounting and financial analysis automation.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field is required, a master's degree or additional certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a leadership position.

• Proficiency in annual budget preparation and management is essential.

• Familiarity with budget processes, including planning, implementation, and review.

• Proven track record in managing mergers and acquisitions (M& A), including financial strategy and implementation.

• Strong financial analysis skills, including forecasting, monitoring, and evaluating financial metrics.
