Robert Half HR Generalist in Sacramento, California

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an HR Generalist in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be expected to perform a variety of key HR functions, including handling leave of absence cases, bringing benefits back in house, and recruiting.

Responsibilities:

• Handle leave of absence (LOA) cases, with a preference for multi-state or global experience

• Oversee the transition of benefits administration from a third-party company back in-house

• Participate in the recruiting process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates

• Conduct onboarding for new employees across multiple locations, including 20 states and Canada

• Utilize HRIS systems, specifically ADP, to manage employee data and generate reports

• Handle employee relations matters, providing guidance and resolution to both employees and management

• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies

• Administer employee compensation programs

• Manage and oversee the execution of benefit functions

• Utilize 'About Time' software to manage employee hours and attendance Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Familiarity with Ceridian and HRMS software

• Knowledge of About Time software

• Ability to manage Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Compliance with HR laws and regulations

• Strong skills in Employee Relations

• Experience in managing Leave of Absence

• Ability to work as a HR generalist in a diverse and inclusive environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

• Proven experience in a similar role

• Certification in Human Resources (e.g. PHR/SPHR) is a plus.
