Robert Half Human Resources Administrator in Sacramento, California

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Human Resources Administrator to join our team in the construction/contractor industry, based in Sacramento, California. The role involves administering the daily functions of the Human Resources department including benefits, leave, company policy training, and enforcement of company practices.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.

• Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility.

• Implement and manage employee recognition programs.

• Administer human resource programs including benefits and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and productivity, recognition and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.

• Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

• Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and review policies and practices to maintain compliance.

• Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Utilize skills in ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, About Time, Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, Employee Relations. Requirements • Proven experience in a Human Resources Administrator role within the construction/contractor industry.

• Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.

• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode.

• Familiarity with Ceridian, HRMS, and About Time software.

• Experience in managing benefit functions and compensation administration.

• Demonstrated understanding of compliance regulations and procedures in the construction industry.

• Strong skills in employee relations and conflict resolution.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
