Description
We are partnering with a National Family Law Firm to source a skilled Family Law Paralegal to join their Sacramento offices on a contract to hire basis! The role involves supporting four attorneys and requires at least 5 years of California-based paralegal experience, preferably in family law. If you're looking to join a stable and growing law firm with a national presence, this is the position for you! The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of paralegal experience and at least 1+ year(s) of family law experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting Pleadings: Prepare, draft, and review legal documents, including motions, petitions, and affidavits.
Preparing Discovery: Assist in the preparation of discovery documents, including interrogatories, requests for admissions, and document production.
Filing and E-filing: File and e-file legal documents with the court, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
Preparing Trial Exhibits: Organize and prepare trial exhibits, evidence, and other materials for court proceedings.
Additional Paralegal Duties: Perform other paralegal responsibilities as required to support the legal team and ensure efficient case management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in California as an ABA Approved Paralegal
A minimum of 1+ year(s) of family law experience is required
Ability to work on-site in either the Sacramento or Bay Area offices Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm.
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional demeanor and positive communicator.
Excellent typing skills and computer literacy, including a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel applications.
Demonstrate proficiency to focus on details, handle multiple tasks, and remain highly organized.
Go above and beyond on simple requests to make things easier on others.
