Description
Are you a meticulous financial professional with a passion for the construction industry? We're seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to join a dynamic company at a leading multi-state construction company. As a Project Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our projects across various states. Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Manage project budgets, conduct cost analysis, and identify cost-saving opportunities to optimize project profitability.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including variance analysis, for project stakeholders and management.
Contract Management: Oversee financial aspects of contracts, including change orders, progress billing, and contract compliance.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, accounting teams, and external stakeholders to ensure financial goals are met and projects are executed efficiently.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, GAAP standards, and regulatory requirements across all project activities.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in project accounting procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Proven experience as a Project Accountant in the construction industry, managing project finances from start to finish.
Strong understanding of project accounting principles, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
