Amanda Warren with Robert Half is seeking a Sr. Accountant in SACRAMENTO, California. This role is pivotal in our accounting team, focused on maintaining and analyzing financial transactions, statements, records, and reports. The Sr. Accountant will be expected to collaborate with the team and contribute to the financial health of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex financial data, including cash flow projections and work in progress reports.

• Prepare and maintain financial transactions, statements, records, and reports.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial system entries.

• Provide financial reports to division managers and leadership team, including month-end P& L reports and ad-hoc reports as needed.

• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial system entries.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial reports and data analysis.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.

• Use Sage Accounting Software for financial management and record-keeping.

• Perform account, balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

• Participate in the month-end close process.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger operations.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required for financial analysis and reporting.

• Proven experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software is a must.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills to work effectively within a team.

• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to multi-task.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.

• Must have the legal right to work in the job location.
