A desire to rise to the challenge and the ability to manage multiple components are musts. You will succeed in this Senior Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you might be a good fit for this role. What you get to do every single day

  • Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

  • Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

  • In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

  • Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

  • Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

  • Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

  • Participate in various department-wide initiatives

  • Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

  • Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

  • Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

  • Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

  • Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

    Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

  • Proficient in ERP systems

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

  • Recent and relevant accounting experience

  • High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

  • Spreadsheet and database capabilities

  • Deep understanding of Month-end Close Activities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Foundational knowledge in account reconciliation

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
