Description Robert Half Finance is seeking candidates who have a knack for leading with high standards, positively motivating others, and making critical decisions and have experience taking charge of an accounting and clerical department, for a Controller position at a reputable Manufacturing company. You might be a good fit for this position if you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required
Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports
Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation
Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash Requirements - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
High attention to detail
CPA or MBA preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Controllership
Command of enterprise resource planning
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions
Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
