Full Charge Bookkeeper

Organized accounting professionals who thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision and are self-driven so succeed as a Bookkeeper, this role could be for you! Our client is in current pursuit for a qualified Full Charge Bookkeeper. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is responsible for overseeing cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. The Full Charge Bookkeeper may also manage clerical staff. This part-time employment opportunity is based in the Saint Clair Shores, Michigan area. How you will make an impact

  • Qualified in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Supplementary assignments when necessary

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Handle monthly accounting close

  • Clarify business license and gross receipts

  • Draw up cash flow projections, as needed

  • Assemble sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Set up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Make all cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Accounts Payable

  • Index budget transfers

    Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

    • 15+ years of related experience- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
  • Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

    • Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
