Robert Half Controller (Plant) in Saint Joseph, Michigan

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller (Plant) to join our team in the manufacturing industry at our SAINT JOSEPH, Michigan location. This role entails overseeing the accounting functions of our manufacturing plant, ensuring accurate processing and recording of the plant's financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all plant accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all financial information.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to track and analyze financial data and generate reports.

• Administer the accounts payable process, ensuring all payments are completed accurately and on time.

• Prepare and manage the annual budget for the plant, working closely with other departments to align financial goals.

• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain the integrity of financial records.

• Implement and manage budget processes, monitoring expenditure and making necessary adjustments to meet financial objectives.

• Handle accounting tasks related to the manufacturing industry, understanding and adhering to industry-specific financial regulations and standards.

• Resolve financial discrepancies through detailed examination and financial analysis.

• Provide financial advice and guidance to plant management, contributing to the overall decision-making process.

• Collaborate with other departments in the plant to streamline processes, improve financial performance, and achieve operational objectives. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required for the management of financial data.

• Must possess comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is essential for maintaining accurate financial records.

• Ability to develop and manage an Annual Budget is required for planning and controlling costs.

• Background in Auditing is necessary for ensuring adherence to financial laws and regulations.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is needed for planning, implementing, and controlling financial resources.

• Knowledge of the Manufacturing Industry is crucial for understanding the financial needs and challenges of the sector.
