Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team located in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves managing and overseeing all aspects of our accounting department, including financial reporting and general ledger preparation. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry of accounting and finance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

• Manage the financial close process and ensure completion of the monthly financial close.

• Handle the processing of subsidiary month-end reporting and manage financials to be completed by day 15.

• Perform various ad hoc accounting tasks as needed.

• Work closely with a senior accountant and a Controller for effective execution of tasks.

• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient and accurate data management.

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.

• Be responsible for process documentation and post-close reconciliations.

• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for financial management and reporting.

• Utilize Adaptive Planning for effective financial reporting and forecasting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Financial Close Process and Monthly Financial Close

• Ability to generate detailed Financial Reports

• Experience with Adaptive Planning

• Ability to work in a team and manage a team of accountants

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven experience in a managerial role within Accounting

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Familiarity with applicable laws, codes, and regulations

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
