Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Saint Louis, Missouri
Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the wholesale distribution industry at our location in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri. We seek an Accounts Payable Clerk who will play a crucial role in managing our financial obligations and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable process.
Responsibilities:
• Verify and review invoices to ensure accuracy and proper entry into our paperless AP system.
• Troubleshoot any issues or errors that might arise in the invoice scanning and entry process.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure that all invoices are correctly entered and accounted for.
• Perform data entry tasks, including numeric data entry, in a precise and timely manner.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and manage data related to accounts payable.
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action for delinquent payments.
• Process customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate records of customer credit accounts.
• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Ensure the repetitive aspects of the job are completed accurately and consistently.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule, with a general shift expected to be from 7:00-11:00 a.m. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
• Proven experience in data entry, with a focus on numeric data
• Ability to perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and analysis
• Experience in a wholesale distribution environment is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Willingness to continuously improve and update skills as required.
