Description We are offering a contract role in the machinery manufacturing industry based in Saint Louis, Missouri. The role is for an Accounts Payable Clerk, focusing on administrative duties in a bustling workplace.
Responsibilities:
• Handling heavy administrative work including sorting emails
• Accurately entering invoices
• Processing customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records
• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely manner
• Monitoring customer credit accounts
• Taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
• Utilizing 'Accounts Payable (AP)' skills for efficient work processes
• Filing documents and maintaining an organized filing system. Requirements • Possess practical knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Demonstrated ability to handle and organize large volumes of invoices and complex data
• Proficient in maintaining and managing vendor files, and ensuring the accuracy of data
• Skilled in verifying and reconciling invoices, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
• Ability to prepare and process checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments
• Proficient in the use of relevant accounting software and programs
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate data management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective vendor communication
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with various departments
• Experience in the machinery manufacturing industry is a plus
• Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks with a high level of accuracy.
