Description Are you ready to leave the long hours of another tax season? Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently working with a law firm in Clayton looking for a detail-oriented Finance Manager to join their team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the firm and providing financial advice and support on cases involving monetary matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting.

Finance Manager Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable.

• Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income and loss statements, and cash flow statements.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable laws and regulations.

• Reconcile bank statements with general and client ledgers.

• Develop financial forecasts and budgets.

Client and Case-Specific Accounting:

• Provide financial advice and support on cases involving monetary issues.

• Respond to client and staff inquiries related to billing and financial matters.

• Communicate with insurance and subrogation entities to negotiate settlement payouts.

Administrative and Backup Support:

• Assist with year-end audits and expense reports.

• Monitor incoming and outgoing funds, including trust accounts.

• Support the legal team by providing updates and handling financial tasks related to client settlements.

• Perform general office duties.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• CPA certification (preferred but not required).

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a law firm.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting.

• Expertise in using QuickBooks; knowledge of Needles software a plus.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
