In this position, you will be in charge of preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, and preparing audits, as well as managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position requires top-notch analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This Senior Accountant role is located in Saint Paul, Minnesota within the Manufacturing field. Major responsibilities

  • Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Participate in various department-wide initiatives

  • Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

  • Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

    Requirements

  • Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

  • Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • 2+ years of overall general accounting experience

  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Experience with Monthly Financial Statements

  • Adeptness in Ad Hoc Financial Analysis

  • Financial reporting experience

  • Reconciliations experience desired

  • Journal entries experience required

  • Month end closings experience

  • Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledgeable of ERP systems

  • Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
