Description
We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Saint Paul, Minnesota. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be primarily stationed at the front desk and be responsible for a range of accounting functions, including data entry tasks, managing accounts payable and receivable, and handling billing functions.
Responsibilities
• Utilize accounting software systems such as QuickBooks and Excel for various accounting tasks.
• Carry out accounts payable responsibilities, ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner.
• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring all incoming payments are accurately recorded and processed.
• Handle billing functions, ensuring accurate invoicing and proper record keeping.
• Perform data entry tasks related to accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Process and approve timesheets, ensuring all recorded hours are accurate.
• Maintain and manage customer credit records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Resolve customer inquiries, providing detail oriented and timely assistance.
• Monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements
• Possess at least one year of experience in an Accounting Specialist role or similar position
• Demonstrated proficiency in using accounting software systems such as QuickBooks
• Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with accounting functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with billing functions and procedures
• Ability to handle approved timesheets and related tasks
• Strong data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
