The successful candidate can look forward to a comprehensive benefits package and flexible work schedule as this role is remote, with some on-site time periodically required in St. Paul, MN.
About the Role:
As an AWS Architect, you'll work with a diverse team of technologists to design, develop and optimize innovative cloud solutions in a AWS environment. You'll be responsible for designing technologically advanced and scalable systems that are secure, efficient, and tailored to support organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement highly scalable solutions on AWS
Lead the integration of AWS architecture services into the company's infrastructure
Build new API integrations and ensure the reliability and performance of systems
Deliver reports on security vulnerabilities, system updates, and audit mitigation progress
Work collaboratively with other technology professionals, enhancing data workflows and supporting business intelligence
Maintain ongoing communication with internal customers, partners, and vendors to ensure AWS infrastructure consistently meets company needs and expectations
Provide technical leadership, counsel, and training to junior team members to increase overall team competency in cloud technologies and best practices.
Evaluate and propose innovative new cloud technologies or tools that can enhance or improve the current systems, and lead the execution of implementation of these technologies.
Requirements
Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience designing secure, scalable, and cost-effective big data architecture
5+ years’ experience in software development, data engineering, or data analytics
Familiarity with AWS cloud platform, lambda, and SQL programming languages
Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, OAuth2 authorization, and security best practices for API gateways
Advanced technical certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, etc.) are a plus
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Big Data, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent professional experience
