Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Legal Administrative Assistant in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. In this role, you will be providing vital support within our team, assisting with scheduling, calendaring, and various administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will be diverse and will require an understanding of the legal industry, particularly regarding court structures.

Responsibilities:

• Prioritize scheduling and calendaring tasks to ensure smooth operations for the attorney.

• Handle daily administrative tasks, including managing correspondences, answering calls, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, maintaining office supplies, and creating and maintaining office filing systems.

• Document Preparation: Prepare and edit communications, including emails, reports, memos, and other executive communications.

• Assist with performance appraisal projects, including collecting feedback.

• Use your background knowledge of the legal industry to contribute to team discussions and decision-making.

• Utilize the Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), Case Management Software, and CompuLaw software to manage tasks efficiently.

• Handle billing functions and claim administration tasks with precision.

• Support client relations efforts and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

• Assist with any trial needs as directed by the trial secretaries.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or in a related role

• Proficient in using Aderant and Adobe Acrobat software

• Familiarity with the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)

• Experience with Case Management Software and CompuLaw

• Capability to handle billing functions effectively

• Proficient in Calendar Management and Claim Administration

• Strong client relations and communication skills

• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Proven ability to work in a team and independently

• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• A bachelor's degree in law or related field is preferred

• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Must have problem-solving skills and be able to think critically.
