Description
Robert Half is partnering with a Government Agency, and sourcing for a Litigation Paralegal. You will be responsible for managing complex paralegal services, acting as an intermediary between departments, court personnel, witnesses, and opposing parties, and assisting in the preparation for trials.
Responsibilities
• Managing the preparation and organization of case files for hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Assisting attorneys by collecting documentary evidence and relevant information to ensure that the documentation is complete, accurate, and pertinent to the case.
• Processing and drafting various legal forms and documents including general correspondence, initial disclosures, affidavits, and discovery.
• Coordinating, reviewing, and indexing data and documentation produced and received in response to discovery and/or data requests.
• Assisting in trial preparation, preparing exhibits and materials, locating and making arrangements for witnesses to testify at trial, explaining court room procedures to witnesses, and providing feedback to the attorney.
• Coordinating and providing detail oriented witnesses with current case developments/required appearances.
• Acting as a liaison between the attorneys and clients and/or witnesses by providing information about court proceedings and processes, helping them prepare for court, and attending court proceedings.
• Utilizing Adobe Acrobat and Case Management Software for briefing and calendar management.
• Handling court filings, e-Filing, government filings, litigation - filing, case management, evidence, legal documentation, discovery responses, discovery requests, medical records review, and authorization requests.
• Overseeing trial preparation, initial disclosure, affidavits, correspondence, data entry, document production, trial exhibits, interviewing witnesses, note taking, and court proceedings.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a paralegal role
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and case management software
• Demonstrated skills in briefing and calendar management
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in court filings, e-filing, and government filings
• Knowledge of litigation filing procedures
• Strong case management skills
• Ability to handle evidence and legal documentation
• Experience in preparing discovery responses and requests
• Capacity to review medical records and handle authorization requests
• Competence in trial preparation and initial disclosure
• Experience in drafting affidavits and correspondence
• Data entry skills and ability to produce documents
• Experience in preparing trial exhibits
• Ability to interview witnesses and take notes
• Familiarity with court proceedings and civil litigation.
