We are seeking a Sr Systems Administrator to join our team in the IT Services industry, based in St. Paul, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. Your duties will also include overseeing the deployment of new systems and technologies, ensuring compliance with security policies, and providing technical guidance and mentorship to entry level systems administrators.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide the systems administration team in maintaining and supporting servers, networks, and infrastructure

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, implementing advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution

• Foster the development and execution of best practices, policies, and procedures to guarantee high standards of system reliability, performance, and security

• Identify potential process improvements and automation opportunities, spearheading initiatives to improve operational efficiency

• Manage and upkeep on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, including servers, virtualization environments, storage, and networking

• Supervise the design and roll out of new systems and technologies in line with business requirements and strategic goals

• Guarantee compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and SOPs

• Mentor entry level systems administrators, offering training and guidance to aid their detail oriented growth

• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure proper knowledge transfer within the team

• Lead regular team meetings and technical discussions to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing

• Head and participate in IT projects, such as infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and system integrations

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technology solutions that align with organizational objectives

• Contribute to the formulation of IT strategies and roadmaps, providing insights on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements • Possess 7 or more years of experience in the field of IT Services

• Extensive knowledge of Active Directory is mandatory

• Proficiency in using Backup Technologies is required

• Familiarity with Cluster Analysis is essential

• Strong understanding of Computer Hardware is necessary

• Expertise in Linux is expected

• Demonstrable experience with PowerShell Scripting is required

• Ability to write and implement Automation Scripts is a must

• Holds an MCSA certification or equivalent is preferred Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
