Robert Half Divisional/Plant Controller in Salem, Ohio

Description

Job responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring they are accurate and timely.

  2. Responsible for the plant's budgets and forecasts, including variances, identifying necessary updates.

  3. Analyze operational results, pinpointing trends and investigating variances.

  4. Collaborate with plant management on cost control and cost reduction strategies.

  5. Perform cost analysis and recommend process improvements.

  6. Coordinate with other teams to streamline financial processes.

  7. Monitor internal control systems to ensure that accounting activities are accurate and conform to regulatory and company standards.

  8. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

  9. Provide input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the plant.

  10. Use SAP software for various financial operations.

    Requirements

  11. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  12. Proven work experience as a plant controller or similar role.

  13. Strong experience with SAP is a must.

  14. Solid understanding of standard cost accounting and experience in job cost accounting.

  15. Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.

  16. Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multitask.

  17. Team management skills.

  18. Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel and MS Office applications.

  19. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  20. Strong understanding of business principals and practices.

  21. Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.

  22. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
