Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Salinas, California
Description We are in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Salinas, California. The role will primarily focus on managing our accounts payable operations, ensuring the prompt and accurate processing of payments and maintaining effective record keeping systems. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process payments, ensuring all bills are settled in a timely manner.
• Provide administrative support in the verification and reconciliation of invoices.
• Monitor expenses and maintain comprehensive records for tax purposes.
• Manage customer inquiries, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Regularly review customer accounts, initiating appropriate actions as needed.
• Use Sage 100 and other software to manage the General Ledger and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.
• Ensure all customer credit applications are processed efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the Manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated proficiency in General Ledger management.
• Extensive experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures.
• Proficiency in using Sage 100 accounting software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills for managing large amounts of data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
