Robert Half Operations Manager in Salinas, California

Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team and drive operational excellence. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in manufacturing or agriculture. Role will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery, driving quality improvements, and leading a team of dedicated professionals. In addition to operational responsibilities, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting business development, cultivating new client relationships, safety, supply chain and identifying growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate the delivery of automation services, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.

Manage client expectations and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Implement and oversee service delivery processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Optimize service schedules and resource allocation for maximum efficiency.

Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring exceptional service quality.

Work in Supply Chain functions

Manage staff of 10 plus

Support safety and warehouse functions

Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored automation solutions.

Work with account management to identify and implement business development strategies to acquire new clients and expand the company's installed base.

Prepare and present proposals to potential clients, including project scope, pricing, and timelines.

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and manage staffing needs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (Open to AA degree with strong experience).

Experience in food or agriculture industry or industrial manufacturing operations.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Understanding of:

Osha Safety, Safety Guidelines, Warehouse Inventory, Warehouse Management, Warehouse Distribution, Inventory Audits, Inventory Controls, Inventory forecasting, Supply Chain Management, Budgeting - Forecasting
