Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Salt Lake City, Utah
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in Salt Lake City, Utah, for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This role centers around the finance industry, specifically focusing on the accounts payable process. The selected candidate will be tasked with handling various accounting functions, maintaining accurate records, and addressing inquiries related to customer accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications.
• Maintain and update customer credit records consistently.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions.
• Handle account coding tasks as part of the accounts payable process.
• Manage accrual accounting tasks as part of the general accounting function.
• Utilize Automated Clearing House (ACH) for transactions.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts.
• Monitor customer accounts for any discrepancies or issues.
• Take appropriate action based on account monitoring results.
• Ensure all tasks comply with the accounts payable process. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting
• Demonstrated proficiency in account coding and accrual accounting
• Extensive knowledge of accounting functions and accounts payable (AP)
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with accounting software and systems
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
