We are in the process of recruiting an Assistant Controller in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is vital to our operation as it deals heavily with the management of both accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as cash management. This position will also require the handling of credit card transactions and various month-end tasks. The role is essential within our industry and is a key component in maintaining the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the preparation of weekly cash flow reports and daily cash balance updates.
• Oversee the management of accounts receivable, including answering miscellaneous questions about coding orders, customer payments, and assisting with reconciliation items at month end.
• Approve customer credit memos and assist in making credit term recommendations for customers.
• Manage accounts payable, including approving bills, ensuring proper closing of bills, and reviewing item receipts when necessary.
• Handle cash management tasks, such as ensuring sufficient cash in accounts to pay out bills and managing petty cash box.
• Manage fraud detection and prevention, including reviewing orders flagged for potential fraud and managing chargeback rebuttals.
• Oversee credit card transactions, including uploading transactions into accounting software and managing spending limits and categories.
• Take responsibility for month-end tasks such as overseeing cash reconciliations, managing prepaids and fixed assets, and ensuring proper booking of bills.
• Utilize skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, Crystal Reports, DCAA, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, and Billing Functions.
Requirements
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in fully cycle accounting
• Proficiency in ERP level Accounting Software Systems is essential
• Must be skilled in diverse accounting functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must
• Proficiency in auditing processes is required
• Experience in managing billing functions is essential.
