Position Overview: As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in rotating machinery design, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of next-generation products. Leveraging your expertise in structural analysis, heavy machinery, CAD, and GPDM, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-performance solutions that exceed customer expectations. Your ability to write detailed use-case scenarios and your in-depth understanding of rotating machinery dynamics will be critical in shaping the design process and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our products.

Key Responsibilities: Rotating Machinery Design: Lead the design and development of rotating machinery products, including pumps, turbines, compressors, and motors, from concept to production. Structural Analysis: Conduct comprehensive structural analyses using advanced computational tools to evaluate the performance and integrity of mechanical components under various operating conditions. Use-Case Scenario Development: Write detailed use-case scenarios to define the functional requirements and performance criteria for rotating machinery products, ensuring alignment with customer needs and industry standards. Heavy Machinery Expertise: Apply your expertise in heavy machinery design and operation to optimize the performance, reliability, and safety of our products in demanding industrial environments. CAD and GPDM: Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Product Data Management (GPDM) systems to create detailed engineering drawings, models, and documentation, facilitating seamless collaboration and version control across teams. Prototype Development: Work closely with manufacturing and R& D teams to build and test prototypes, iterate designs based on performance feedback, and drive continuous improvement throughout the product development lifecycle. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to integrate mechanical systems with other subsystems and ensure holistic product performance. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to entry level engineers, sharing best practices, fostering a culture of innovation, and promoting continuous learning and development within the engineering team. Requirements Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Experience in the mining industry is preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on rotating machinery design and analysis. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools. Strong analytical skills and experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software for structural and thermal analysis. Experience with GPDM systems for managing engineering data and documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, with a focus on quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
