Description

We are seeking a Controller to join our team in the healthcare industry located in San Angelo, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the finance and accounting functions of the organization, including submitting projections, creating budgets, and overseeing a team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial operations including audit, tax, accounting, and budgeting functions of the organization.

• Manage a team of finance and accounting professionals, providing leadership, direction, and mentorship.

• Lead the preparation and submission of financial projections and annual budgets.

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

• Drive financial planning and strategy, analyzing performance and risks.

• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic decision making.

• Leverage knowledge of the healthcare industry to inform financial decision-making.

• Utilize CPA credentials and skills to ensure accurate, compliant financial practices.

• Draw on experience in healthcare finance and management to effectively oversee financial operations.

• Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industries

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required

• Demonstrable knowledge of financial regulations and legislation in the healthcare industry

• Experience in managing accounting and financial systems and teams

• Proficiency in using advanced financial software and tools

• Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills

• Proven leadership and team management abilities

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• High level of professional integrity and confidentiality

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field would be an advantage

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
