Description Are you looking for employment as an Accounting Clerk at an organization that is admired within the industry? Robert Half has an employment opportunity for a candidate seeking an Accounting Clerk position at a department in need of support. The Accounting Clerk position seeks an experienced candidate in the following tasks: matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position located in the San Antonio, Texas area.
Your responsibilities in this role
Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Rectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers
Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt Requirements - Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Deep understanding of Administrative Assistance
Filing experience
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
QuickBooks experience
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized
Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
