Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in San Antonio, Texas
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the Metal Fabrication industry, based in San Antonio, Texas. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with handling various duties such as reviewing and posting invoices, processing employee reimbursements, and maintaining vendor communication. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately review and correct invoice coding
• Enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner
• Handle employee reimbursements processes
• Prepare vendor checks for mailing and keep track of outstanding invoices
• Conduct monthly research on vendor statements and communicate payment status with vendors when necessary
• Distribute and mail accounts payable correspondence
• Set up and maintain appropriate accounts payable files
• Generate payable reports for users
• Collaborate with the accounting team for month-end cutoff and processing
• Match supplier invoices to shipping tickets in the production system
• Undertake special projects as required Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar position.
• Proven experience in the Metal Fabrication industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) systems and procedures.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables.
• Working knowledge of Fixed Asset Systems.
• Experience with Year End Closing procedures.
• Ability to reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis.
• Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
