Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in San Antonio, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in San Antonio, Texas. This role functions within the Oil & Gas industry and involves a variety of accounting tasks, data management, and vendor account maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake various accounting tasks including reconciliations, rebills, and cost allocation.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite programs for efficient data management.

• Assist with the establishment and maintenance of vendor accounts.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies within our system.

• Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Participate in financial audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.

• Undertake ad hoc projects and equipment billings.

• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and provide ad hoc reports as required.

• Implement ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and Accounting Software Systems for efficient accounting functions. Requirements

• Familiarity with Account Coding is essential

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems will be highly beneficial to the role

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is beneficial

• Ability to perform various Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is desirable

• Understanding of Accrual Accounting is necessary

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes is preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Knowledge of Governmental accounting is beneficial

• Familiarity with AS400 system is a beneficial but not required

• Ability to use Excel Formulas effectively

• Understanding and application of VLOOKUP and Pivot Table in Excel

• Familiarity with Basic Formulas in Excel

• Experience with Rebills is preferred

• Willing to learn to perform Ad Hoc Analysis, Ad Hoc Reporting, and Ad Hoc Financial Analysis

• Willingness to learn to Provide Ad Hoc support and Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks as required

• Knowledge of Cost Allocation methods is preferred

• Experience with General Journal and Journal Entries concepts

• Ability to prepare Journal Entry is necessary
