Robert Half Data Analyst in San Antonio, Texas
Description We are recruiting for a Database Analyst position based in San Antonio, Texas. This role is critical to our team as it involves collaborating with different departments to understand their data needs and translating these into actionable data projects. An ideal candidate for this role is proficient in SQL querying, data manipulation tools, and has a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their data needs
• Gather data from different sources, ensuring its accuracy and completeness
• Apply data cleaning and manipulation techniques to maintain data integrity
• Perform in-depth data analysis using statistical methods and SQL queries to identify patterns, trends, and correlations
• Develop clear and compelling data visualizations, such as dashboards and charts, to effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Generate data-driven reports and recommendations to support strategic decision-making across the organization
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization tools
• Maintain customer credit records accurately and efficiently
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements
• Proficiency in database management and related software such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
• Experience with EO/IR systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with data-oriented applications like Excel
• Familiarity with AB Testing methodologies
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies to ensure data preservation and recovery
• Experience in Data Warehousing
• Strong design skills, particularly related to database structure and organization
• Excellent documentation skills to maintain clear records of database structures, processes, and backups
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot database issues
• Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex database concepts to non-technical team members
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
