Robert Half Help Desk Analyst I in San Antonio, Texas

Description We are searching for a proactive Help Desk Analyst I to add to our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role will primarily focus on providing technical assistance to local and field users in a dynamic work environment. You will be responsible for responding to technical help tickets, providing IT support for various applications, and proposing solutions to recurring technical issues.

Responsibilities:

• Responding promptly to technical help tickets submitted through various channels.

• Providing comprehensive IT support for Windows, Microsoft Office, and other internal applications.

• Investigating and implementing solutions to technical issues independently.

• Identifying recurring technical issues and proposing solutions to eliminate the root causes.

• Installing and configuring Windows OS, networked and local printers, and business applications.

• Administering and fixing bugs in Windows 7 in an Active Directory environment.

• Solving issues related to Microsoft Office applications.

• Understanding and applying basic TCP/IP networking concepts.

• Setting up and providing support for Audio/Visual systems.

• Gaining experience with IT support ticketing systems.

• Offering Desktop Support to all users. Requirements

• Candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, such as IT Support or Customer Service.

• Demonstrable experience in desktop support is essential.

• Must possess solid understanding of IT principles, concepts and methods.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues is required.

• Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote control solutions.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

• Ability to interact effectively with non-technical users.

• Knowledge of various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux is expected.

• Must be able to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial.

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are advantageous.

• Availability to work in shifts or provide on-call support when necessary.
