Robert Half Help Desk Analyst in San Antonio, Texas

Description We are seeking a Help Desk Analyst in the manufacturing industry, based in San Antonio, Texas. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and involves providing both onsite and remote technical support to end users. As a Help Desk Analyst, you will be expected to field incoming help requests, prioritize issues based on business needs, and work collaboratively with team members to resolve hardware and software related user issues.

Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite and/or remote technical support to end users, primarily through phone and occasionally through face-to-face interactions

• Handle incoming help requests from business users via various methods of transmission

• Identify and implement innovative technical solutions for customers

• Prioritize help queue based on the severity of business production issues

• Collaborate with team members to resolve software or hardware related user issues

• Administer and maintain end user system accounts, permissions, and access rights

• Assist end users with questions pertaining to system access, passwords, and security policies and procedures

• Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems

• Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ's resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution

• Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization

• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications

• Develop help sheets and lists of frequently asked questions (FAQ's) for end users

• Provide research and support for IT projects

• Work with the networking team to ensure timely completion of all projects and initiatives

• Pursue training and educational opportunities to expand knowledge of the business and technology. Requirements

• Proficiency in Citrix Technologies is required

• Familiarity with database management

• Experience with EO/IR systems is preferred

• Knowledge of Lotus Notes software

• Proficient in various Microsoft applications

• Understanding of Active Directory

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer hardware

• Familiarity with configuration management practices

• Previous experience in deskside support

• Knowledge of desktop hardware and its components
