Robert Half IT Director in San Antonio, Texas

Description We are seeking an IT Director to join our team based in San Antonio, Texas. This role is pivotal in overseeing our small IT team, driving technological advances, and implementing strategies to support our long-term business objectives. As an IT Director, you will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of IT professionals, evaluate new technology solutions, and manage multiple projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of IT professionals, promoting high-performance and encouraging collaboration

• Evaluate and implement new technology solutions and partnerships to enhance the company's IT capabilities

• Monitor the accessibility of applications or services, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of enterprise-wide system tools, ensuring scalability and mitigating risk

• Effectively manage multiple projects, initiatives, and tasks, prioritizing based on business needs and objectives

• Conduct cyber security gap analysis and associates’ risk analysis, creating a plan to protect IT systems

• Analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and recommend technical solutions

• Propose strategic solutions and recommend new systems and software

• Lead software development teams, preferably with experience in Java

• Manage cloud environments, preferably with experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Requirements

• Significant experience in the IT sector, including a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role

• Demonstrated proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Proven track record in infrastructure administration

• Extensive experience in Java Application Development and other application development areas

• Expertise in creating, implementing, and managing IT strategies

• Excellent leadership and team management skills

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills

• Proven ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with a high degree of complexity and ambiguity

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

• Relevant industry certifications will be considered an advantage.
