Robert Half Systems Administrator in San Antonio, Texas
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves managing and maintaining servers, workstations, networks, and peripherals, and ensuring the security of our systems. You will also play a crucial role in troubleshooting technical issues, managing user accounts, and staying updated on the latest IT trends and technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and manage servers, workstations, networks, and peripherals
• Maintain system security by implementing and enforcing data access controls, firewalls, and backup procedures
• Perform routine system monitoring and identify potential issues before they arise
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems reported by users
• Install, configure, and maintain software applications
• Assist with user account creation and management
• Document system configurations and procedures
• Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends and technologies
• Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Database, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, Linux Technologies, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Deployments
• Work proficiently with Microsoft Office 365 Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role or a similar IT position
• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies, with the ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices
• Experience with Database administration, including setup, backup, and recovery procedures
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies, including server and storage hardware
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems, including their operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Proficient in Linux Technologies, including administration of Linux servers and scripting
• Experience in managing Active Directory, including user and group management, GPOs, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies, ensuring data safety and recovery
• Proficiency in Computer Hardware, including assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Experience in Configuration Management, maintaining system security and performance
• Familiarity with Deployments, including planning, executing, and managing software and hardware deployments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including administration and user support
• Must be able to work in a team environment, demonstrating strong collaboration skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
• Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
