Description
Qualifications:
• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA designation is highly preferred
• Over 3 years of recent experience in public accounting
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with acute attention to detail
• Strong critical thinking and creative skills for devising tax planning strategies
• Proficiency in utilizing computer systems, programs, and data retrieval
Expectations:
• Willingness to pursue a CPA designation
• Understanding of overtime requirements during busy seasons
Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals
• Handle a variety of complex returns for a diverse clientele spanning different industries
• Comprehend and research intricate tax concepts and their application to client scenarios; review findings with managers/partners and relay outcomes to clients
• Lead engagements and effectively communicate vital information to tax staff, managers, partners, and clients
• Supervise tax staff assigned to the engagement and assess their work on a daily basis
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff; maintain open communication with all levels of leadership within the firm
• Participate in planning and strategic sessions with clients, managers, and partners
• Fulfill other duties as required and assigned
