Description
Jeff Abrams is in search for a Finance Manager to join his clients team operating within the Venture Capital industry. The GPs are pioneers in their respective domain, and each have an impressive track record of scaling businesses and investing in performers. With a well-funded Fund 1 and nearing a close on Fund 2, the team is ready to expand its middle/back office with this hire. The role is dynamic and will flex to the strengths of the individual. It will generally involve overseeing accounting and finance, managing operational processes, ensuring compliance, and implementing tax optimization strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounting and financial records for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Manage capital calls, management fees, invoicing, expenses, and cash management
• Collaborate with third-party administrators to ensure quarterly financial records are accurate and complete
• Utilize financial models at the management level to inform decision-making
• Oversee the annual audit process and verify the accuracy of financial statements
• Maintain up-to-date Schedule of Investments for each fund and monitor changes in portfolio assets
• Support daily operations within the Finance and Operations function to ensure smooth processes
• Maintain the firm's compliance manual and oversee training to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policies
• Work closely with outsourced teams to ensure compliance with local and federal employment laws
• Collaborate with the VP of Finance and Operations to implement the firm's tax optimization strategy
• Use accounting software systems such as Abila MIP and Bloomberg Terminal to facilitate financial management
• Implement auditing and budget processes to ensure financial stability
• Manage cash activity and capital management to ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements
• Demonstrated proficiency in VC Fund Accounting and Finance, valuation a plus.
• Background in public accounting highly desired
• CPA or MBA desired
• Experience with Budget Processes
• Proficiency in Capital Management
• Experience managing Cash Activity
