We are assisting a municipal office in San Diego in their search for an experienced Accountant. The ideal candidate will have experience with Tyler Munis, full-cycle transactional accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis. This is a contract or contract-to-hire opportunity, perfect for someone looking to contribute to local government operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle transactional accounting, including A/P, A/R, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Utilize Tyler Munis for budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis.

• Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to municipal guidelines.

• Conduct financial analysis and reporting to assist with decision-making processes.

• Support audits and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with government standards.

  Requirements

Previous accounting experience within a municipal or government environment (preferred).

Proficiency in Tyler Munis software (required).

Strong budgeting and financial analysis skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
