Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in San Diego, California
Description
We are actively seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to provide financial, administrative, and clerical services to our client in the construction industry. The specialist will assess, monitor, and facilitate the receipt of payments for goods and services that the company provides.
Responsibilities:
Posting customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit transactions.
Verifying accounts by reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
Maintaining financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts, coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account, verifying totals, and preparing reports.
Assisting with month-end closing processes and financial audits.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in general accounting.
Work experience in the construction industry is highly favorable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and knowledge of relevant accounting software.
Exceptional organizational abilities and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and data entry skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
