Robert Half International Administrative Assistant (Development Department) in San Diego, California


We are seeking multiple Administrative Assistants to support the Director of Development and Chief Philanthropy Officers for the non-profit organizations in San Diego.

This is a contract role which could turn into a full-time position for the right candidate!

Our client is looking for a friendly, hard-working candidate to provide administrative and data entry support for the development offices for fundraising. The ideal candidate should possess at least 2 years of prior office experience. Non-profit exposure is a plus!

This candidate will:

  • Oversee day to day operations to ensure the department runs smoothly.

  • Maintain accurate appointment and meeting schedules on Outlook or Google Calendar.

  • Provide administrative support to the Directors and CPO including email and phone call correspondence.

  • Prepare meeting materials on PowerPoint and draft outline.

  • Record meeting minutes as needed.

  • Create marketing materials, such as newsletters or flyers, on Adobe Creative Suite to promote events.

  • Plan events or galas and correspond with vendors, caters, venues, as needed!

  • Act as the face of the organization and handle all follow up and correspondence for donors of all level, including Individuals, Corporates, Foundations.

  • Responsible for interacting with clients/donors via telephone, email, and mail.

  • High volume data entry (6000+ KPH preferred).

  • Assist with exporting data for mailing lists.

  • Help manage and clean up donor and membership lists and maintain donor database or CRM such as Raiser's Edge NXT, DonorPerfect, Salesforce.


Preferred Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Applicant must be familiar with word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems.

  • Consistent typing accuracy.

  • Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast paced and challenging environment.

  • Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired.

  • 2+ years of related experience.

  • Database management, donor relations, donor database experience preferred.

  • Preferred Software Experience: Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Access, or Zendesk!

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
