Robert Half Bilingual (Spanish) HR Coordinator in San Diego, California

Description

Robert Half is seeking a dynamic and bilingual HR Coordinator to support our client in the hospitality industry. This role is essential in maintaining effective HR operations, focusing on employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, has a strong understanding of HR best practices, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, handling general HR questions, escalating issues when necessary, and supporting conflict resolution in a culturally sensitive manner.

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screenings, interview scheduling, and offer letters. Conduct orientations for new hires to ensure they understand company policies, benefits, and work expectations.

  • HR Administration: Manage HR records and documentation, including new hire paperwork, terminations, and changes in employment status. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

  • Benefits Administration: Assist employees with benefits inquiries, enrollment, and updates, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee programs. Work closely with the benefits team to resolve employee concerns.

  • Employee Engagement & Development: Support company initiatives to boost employee engagement and morale, assist in the planning and coordination of employee events, and provide logistical support for training sessions and workshops.

  • HR Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Prepare and submit reports on HR metrics and activities to the HR Manager.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Spanish (required).

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 1–3 years of HR experience, ideally within the hospitality industry.

  • Knowledge & Skills: Familiarity with HR software and systems. Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.

  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for interacting with diverse employees and maintaining confidentiality.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
