Description

A premier biotech company based in San Francisco, California is looking for an experienced remote Contracts Manager. This is a temporary/temporary-to-hire role and it will start as a six-month contract with the potential for extensions. In this role, you will be working with the Legal Department to implement projects designed to optimize the delivery of legal services Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry is required. Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing a high volume and wide variety of contracts through the entire contracting process.

  • Supporting and collaborating regularly with business functions to generate, review and revise contracts, such as, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, master services agreements, lab services agreements, work orders, change orders, clinical trial agreements, and amendments

  • Negotiating certain agreement types commensurate with experience, including confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, and services agreements

  • Flagging contractual risks and issues for internal clients and the responsible attorney, and suggesting solutions-oriented alternatives

  • Helping to ensure the Legal contract repository is accurate and up to date

  • Generating reports, presentations, spreadsheets, memos, and other documents for the Legal Department, internal/external clients, and/or the senior management team, as requested Job

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum 2-4 years of direct contract experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry

  • Familiarity with regularly negotiated contract clauses and compliance issues in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industry

  • Ability to independently negotiate and administer contracts

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
