Robert Half International Financial Analyst in San Diego, California

Description

Robert Half is on the hunt for a success driven Financial Analyst to join an expanding company. We seek someone who has internal drive and strong potential for growth and development. As the Financial Analyst you will manage financial modeling on a range of financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans in this position. The Financial Analysts other duties will include advising management on the allocation of resources to best achieve objectives and preparing reports for management. You will be a part of a dynamic team being a key business partner in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

  • Deliver analytical support during New Year readiness/Year End planning cycle

  • Propel the strategy and business planning process

  • Authenticate routine Area/Segment level Bookings and P& L forecasting

  • Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

  • Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations

  • Study performance to date and examine potential risks and opportunities

  • Work closely with business partners in Accounting, Recruiting, People and Operations to execute against plans

  • Acquire a knowledge of and apply econometric and statistical methods to forecasting

  • Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

  • Become lodged within the Marketing and Customer Success organizations. Build trust and quickly understand the key drivers of the business, economic trends and core metrics

  • Empower effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

  • Uncover the influencing factors that are driving performance and trends

    Requirements

  • Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

  • Deep understanding of budget forecasting

  • Microsoft Excel experience desired

  • Foundational knowledge in financial analysis

  • Expertise in budgeting
