Description
Our client operates in the fast-paced and dynamic global construction industry. They believe in creating structures that are not just things or spaces but symbols of future human progress. They are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join their San Diego office.
This HR Assistant role will support both the HR Manager and wider team in achieving HR departmental objectives. Key duties will include maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll processing, providing clerical support to HR manager, and helping with recruitment and onboarding of new hires and induction programs.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist HR manager in organizing and updating HR database and employee records.
Administer benefits to employees and respond to queries regarding the same.
Assist in the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
Participate in organizing company events and careers days.
Handle employee onboarding, scheduling trainings, and updating relevant data (e.g. vacation, sick leaves).
Provide overall clerical and administrative support to the HR department.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field.
At least 1 year experience as an HR Assistant ideally within the construction or related industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Knowledge of HRIS systems and databases.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Superb communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
