Robert Half HR Coordinator in San Diego, California

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, a passion for HR, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This role involves assisting with various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and benefits administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities

  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system

  • Assist with administering employee benefits programs and handling inquiries related to benefits

  • Support the performance management process, including tracking evaluations and training sessions

  • Handle employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures

  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and programs

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

  • Support HR projects and initiatives as needed

  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Previous experience in an HR administrative role

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS software

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
