Description

We are seeking a talented Human Resources Business Partner to support a growing and well-established organization in the food and beverage industry! This is a contract to hire role so it's only suitable for candidates who are currently unemployed!

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP is responsible for unit compliance in the areas of wage and hour law, compliance with FLSA, Federal, State, and local labor laws.

How you will make an impact:

  • Collaborate and communicate cross-functionally and interact effectively with HR senior leaders, management, HR team members, and other personnel to ensure alignment of requirements, goals, and expectations.

  • Collaborate closely with all HR functions to perform process flow mapping, identify issues and opportunities, collect and analyze documentation, analyze processes, identify alternatives, make recommendations, and work with the functions to implement process changes as needed.

  • Serve as a process consultant / advisor as needed and share process improvement methodologies.

  • In conjunction with the Director of Management Services and other HR professionals, analyzes trends and metrics to aid in developing solutions, programs, and policies for assigned business unit.

  • Identifies training needs for the business unit

  • Responsible for delivering and tracking training for assigned business unit including compliance audits. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including but not limited to federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and labor laws related to day-to-day management of employees, and performs duties in a manner that reduces risk.

  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation and ensures legal compliance.

  • Processes HR paperwork for new hires, terminations, promotions, and transfers. Partners closely with Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Coordinators, and Office Administrators to ensure timely action on HR actions.

    Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience resolving complex employee relations issues including wage and hour law in a similar capacity. Experience in hospitality, sports service, dining, or related industry preferred!

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and labor relations, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required from an accredited college or university.

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills, including facilitation skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
