Description
Robert Half is partnering with a well-known business law firm in downtown San Diego, seeking a litigation associate attorney with 2-7 years of experience. This firm handles litigation & transactional work but this is focused on business disputes: commercial litigation, employment law, and general complex civil cases. Clients range from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
Responsibilities of Role:
o Trial prep, law & motion, discovery, depositions. Pay is contingent upon fluency with these things.
o Running point on small business and commercial disputes, up to Fortune 500 companies. 20% employment law (defense), the rest spans the gamut of commercial litigation.
Experience:
o 2+ years of civil litigation experience
o Entrepreneurial spirit, you can build your own path.
o Partners give jr associates as much as they want – leading a case themselves or be a part of a bigger case in the group. Associates choose who they want to work with and what sort of cases they want to do. Someone who wants to chart their own course.
o Employment law exposure would be great to have!
COVID work plan:
· Associates work from home about 50% of the time.

Requirements
Keys/Must haves:
2+ years of CA civil litigation experience, ideally on defense side
Strong research & writing skills
CA bar (no registered in-house counsel)
