Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our finance team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for assisting with the processing of payroll for our employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and processing of bi-weekly or monthly payroll
Calculate and input employee hours, deductions, and withholdings into the payroll system
Verify accuracy of timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies
Prepare and distribute payroll checks or direct deposits
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information
Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance requirements
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
1+ years of experience in payroll processing or related role
Experience with payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto) preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Basic understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
