Robert Half Senior HR Generalist in San Diego, California

Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Generalist to support their human resources department. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR functions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple HR tasks efficiently. This role requires a strategic thinker who can contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel.

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

  • Maintain and update employee records, including benefits administration and performance evaluations.

  • Handle employee relations issues, provide guidance to management, and conduct investigations when necessary.

  • Coordinate and facilitate employee training and development programs.

  • Administer compensation and benefits plans, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.

  • Conduct performance review processes and provide support to managers.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Manage HRIS data entry and reporting, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  • Lead special HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager.

    Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a human resources role, with at least 3 years in a senior or generalist capacity.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS systems.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

  • Thorough understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is preferred.
