Robert Half Sr. Accountant in San Diego, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in San Diego, California. In this role, you will be involved in various accounting functions across diverse industries, ensuring accurate records and efficient processes. This role is crucial in maintaining our financial health and making sure we meet our fiscal responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of complex journal entries and general ledger reconciliations for various divisions and entities

• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and resolve discrepancies

• Assess workflow processes and propose changes to improve accuracy and efficiency

• Manage accounting for corporate assets and liabilities, including labor costs, overhead variances, and fixed assets

• Maintain records of transactions requiring follow-up action and recommend closure actions

• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations for assigned accounts in accordance with GAAP

• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with business partners to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

• Support external audits such as financial, banking, and governmental by providing necessary documentation in a timely manner

• Use computer spreadsheet software and related applications proficiently to organize work and handle multiple projects

• Utilize strong analytical skills to maintain proper and complete accounting records for the area of responsibility. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required.

• Demonstrable experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software is a must.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
